1991 – 1993        Attended and graduated with a double major
       in Fine Arts and Computer Graphics.

1993*--               Enter:  Radar, my first Hearing Service Dog.

1992 – 1994        “Is Your Friend Disabled?” An educational program written in
collaboration with Jennifer Cabernoch (a comedian who was also quadriplegic.)  
Presented to school children grades 4-6 in Southern California school districts.

1991 – 1994         Elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Service
Dog Committee for the Delta Society
. (Delta funded the studies showing how
healing animals are in our society and created and funded programs to conduct
zoonosis in hospitals nationwide setting the standards for what are referred to today
as Therapy Dogs the world over.  In this committee Delta’s focus was to educate the
public and businesses about the rights of disabled people who use Service Dogs.  
We did this by sending teams out to businesses nationwide to educate management.

Suggested and implemented the creation and fruition of an annual award
honoring retired Assistance/Service Animals.

1993-1997
  Studied with animal ambassador/writer/clinician Linda Tellington-Jones.

1994 – 96        Assisted in teaching Tellington-Jones students in two year program
in 9 day clinics.

1997**   Enter:  Whisper my second Service Dog
Studied with Grandmother Twylah leader of the Seneca Wolf Clan             
Ordination:  International Assembly of Spiritual Healers

1997        Featured in full weekends of Maori healings in both Northern California
and again in Florida.  Led by Chief Makie Akenna, Maori. (32 hours)

1998 – 2001        Wrote curriculum and conducted 2 ½ day seminars in San
Diego/Los Angeles counties in Intuitive Development and Animal Communication.

1998 -         Received training through N.O.V.A.  (National Organization for Victims’
Assistance). .  Held in Reno, Nevada.  (40 hours) Qualified and joined N.O.V.A.’s
National Crisis Response Team.

1999 -         Journey to Littleton, Colorado; Facilitated crisis intervention and spiritual
guidance for one of the families involved in the Columbine High School massacre.

1999 – 2001        Conducted classes and certifications for American Red Cross
“Emergency First Aid/CPR for Animals”.

1999 – 2001         Giving seminars and workshops for intuitive communication with
animals through S.E.E.D., (

2001        Advanced training with National Oranization for Victim Assistance, (N.
O.V.A. )in Washington,  D.C. (120 hours) of Advanced Advocate Training,
Community Crisis Response and Training of Trainers Institute.

Taught Crisis Response Community Level to Oakland, California's National Team

2001 cont.    Taught Crisis Response training for Victims Advocates in New York to
Ground Zero counselors in Sarasota Springs, New York.  (40 hour intensive)

2001        Soul Retrieval/ Earth Healing class with Sandra Ingerman  (32 hrs.)

4/2001       On-site at Ground Zero providing Crisis Intervention/Spiritual support for
FDNY, NYPD, EMT & De-construction workers involved in 9/11.

2003   Graduated from University of Santa Monica with a Masters Degree in Spiritual
Psychology.

2002 - 2003         Double Audited 1st year Spiritual Psychology Program.

2003 – 2004        Audited 2nd year Spiritual Psychology Program.

Miranda begins her work listening to those with Autism

2006-07  Miranda Writes her first book-An Extraordinary Journey through
the Ordinary World.

* Since 1993         Radar has been my teacher and has given his service as my
first Hearing Dog.  He began his semi-retirement in 2005.

Since 1997 Whisper her given service as my teacher and my second Hearing
Dog.  She has attended every training by my side since 1997 when we were first

For 28 years, Miranda Alcott has maintained a private practice integrating her
counseling experience, intuitive and psychic abilities as well as her life coaching
skills.  Miranda has a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology, is a certified crisis
counselor, and has worked at Columbine and Ground Zero.

Miranda currently maintains a private practice in both Los Angeles, California and
